December 2025 Pickleball Roundup: 90,000 Strong and Growing

Players competing and practicing on multiple indoor pickleball courts in Canada during December 2025, highlighting winter indoor play and community participation.

Pickleball Canada just hit 90,000 members - up from 63,000 two years ago. Across the country, 1.54 million Canadians now play regularly, a 57% jump in just three years. The sport's growth is reshaping communities, and nowhere is that more visible than in Ontario's thriving indoor facilities.

As outdoor courts shut down for winter, December brings packed schedules at facilities across the province. And with Pickleball Canada's new Facility Development Guidebook released in November, 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for court construction.
